5 Things You Should Know About UNI Dance Marathon
If you are new to Dance Marathon, here are five things to know before we kick off an incredible year!
It’s about more than dancing.
UNI Dance Marathon is a student-led organization raising money and awareness for children and families at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. While there’s definitely lots of dancing involved, we’re really all about community, connection, and making a difference for our miracle families!
Everyone has a place here.
You don’t have to know anyone or have experience with Dance Marathon to get involved. Whether you want to be part of a committee, attend events, volunteer, or simply learn more, there’s always a place for you in our community! 🧡
Our miracle families are at the heart of it all.
Everything we do is in support of our incredible kiddos and families who inspire our movement. Their stories are a constant reminder of why we fundraise.
There’s always an event to look forward to.
From Miracle Meetups and givebacks to Orange Party, Miracle Gala, and Big Event, dancers have plenty of opportunities to get involved and create amazing memories.
YOU can make a difference with us.
Every dollar raised, event attended, and effort made helps us work toward something bigger than ourselves. Together, we can fight to give kids a better tomorrow.
Ready to get involved? Join us for our Kickoff event at Lawther Field on Tuesday, September 15, from 6-8pm! There will be ice cream, outdoor games, and we’ll be introducing our morale captains and miracle families. This is a great chance to meet fellow dancers, learn more about DM, and get excited for the upcoming year!
