Raising money for kiddos at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital is the heart and soul of this organization.

Our goal each year is to support these kiddos so that one day, they can live a life free from childhood illness. Every dollar we raise helps provide the resources, research, care, and support that children and their families need throughout their medical journey.

We fundraise because every child deserves the opportunity to grow up, make memories, chase their dreams, and simply be a kid. We fundraise for the families spending countless nights in the hospital, for the doctors and researchers working toward better treatments, and for the kids who continue to fight every day.

Children’s Miracle Network’s mission is to bring people together to raise money for children’s healthcare in local communities. Through these collective efforts, donations provide children’s hospitals with critical, unrestricted funds that help create meaningful change for kids and improve their overall outcomes.

At University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children’s Hospital, donations help support a variety of important needs. About 4% of funds are used for equipment specially designed for children of every age and size. Another 19% supports advancement services, including hospital operations, investments, and development efforts that help improve care.
​
Around 26% of funds support patient services that focus on the physical, mental, and emotional health of children and their families. Another 8% provides charitable care, helping offer free or reduced-cost health services to families who need them.
Education also plays a major role, with 38% of funds supporting education for patients, families, healthcare providers, and the community. The remaining 5% supports research and treatment innovations designed to improve outcomes for children.
