Roses are red, violets are blue, I love DM and I’m glad you do too! As we roll into the month of February, show your love for DM by recruiting dancers, attending the following events and reaching your fundraising goals! With just about a month away, it’s time to kick it into high gear.

Kiddo Update:

This month UNI DM wants to welcome three more miracle kiddos into our family! Malcolm Thornock, Gavin Reed, and Michael Lang are now part of our UNI DM family! Make sure to welcome them when you see them at our Big Event on March 4th!

Sidecar Art Auction

Tomorrow, February 7th is the Sidecar Coffee Art Auction and Giveback night! Grab some friends and head to the hill to view and bid on one of a kind art pieces. You can’t just go to sidecar without ordering something right, right? Between 5-8pm, $1 of every latte sold will go back to DM! Coffee, art, and a good excuse not to study, what could be better?

Dance Marathon Hunger Games

It’s here! The UNI Dance Marathon Hunger Games event will be held on February 12th at 3pm in the lower basketball courts by the rock wall in the WRC. The reaping of names from each organization will begin at 3pm. Individual name entrances cost $3, it’s $5 for 3 names, and there are also group rates. See Dan and Greta’s email for more details. This is a great chance to get other student organizations all together, have fun, and benefit DM!

Fundraising workshops

There will be two fundraising workshops throughout the month of February, the 7th and the 21st. If you are in a fundraising rut, or just need some new ideas, mark these dates in your calendars. With just under a month to go, it’s the perfect time to try a new fundraising technique. Look for time and location announcements on the Facebook page!

On Wednesday, Feb 22nd, there is a MANDATORY All Committee meeting. Be there or be square.

COMMA CLUB:

45 people are now members of the Comma Club! Make it your goal to join them!

COUNTDOWN:

26 days ‘til the Big Event guys and gals!

RECRUITMENT:

On February 13th, the price to register as a dancer for the Big Event rises. Recruit your friends and family to join us on the big day before then! Don’t forget--included in registration is a t-shirt, free meals, a waterbottle and a whole day of fun. It’s a great deal for a great cause.

FUN FACT:

Every year, Americans spend $117 BILLION dollars on fast food. Challenge yourself and your donors to give the money they would’ve spent on a fast meal to DM instead!
